Dr. Rubin is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Chicago Department of Anesthesia and Critical Care. His research is focused on functional assessments and outcomes after surgery in older adults with an emphasis on using data from accelerometers. He is currently funded through a GEMSSTAR R03 on developing an at-home functional assessment that leverages smartphones, accelerometery and walking.
